Events at Historic Hope
Events on the Historic Grounds
The grounds of either Hope Mansion or the King-Bazemore House may be rented for $800.
The spacious grounds can accommodate large tents, dance floors, and gatherings with hundreds of guests. On-site parking, electricity, and outdoor restroom facilities are available for outdoor events.
Grounds rentals do not include tables, chairs, tents, or other event equipment. Rental of the grounds also does not include access to the interiors of Hope Mansion or the King-Bazemore House. Interior access requires separate arrangements and additional fees.
Roanoke-Chowan Heritage Center & Museum
The Roanoke-Chowan Heritage Center & Museum may be rented for $950. Rental includes use of the atrium, dining room, outdoor patio, commercial kitchen, dressing rooms when needed, restrooms, and adjacent parking lot.
The atrium seats approximately 120 guests, while the dining room accommodates approximately 100 seated guests. Together with the adjoining outdoor patio, the Heritage Center can accommodate events of approximately 200 guests.
Tables and chairs are included with Heritage Center rentals. Wi-Fi access is available in the Heritage Center.
Setup and Decorating
Renters may access the site the day before their wedding to decorate, set up tents, and complete other event preparations.
Rentals and Event Furnishings
Historic Hope has glassware, china, silverware, tablecloths, and chair covers available for rent. Please contact us for more information about availability and rental fees for these additional furnishings.
Member Discount
Members of Historic Hope Foundation receive a 10% discount on both Heritage Center and grounds rentals.
